My most used book:
Upgrading and Repairing PC's by Scott Mueller.

If you want to study computers, this book covers  just about everything. I bought my first U & R book, the 5th Edition on May 16, 1996. It cost $49.99. I either read or looked at every page from Contents through the Index. All 1,394 pages. I used this book so much that it is now held together by Duct Tape and it still occupies a prominent place on my bookshelf. I seldom use it anymore because:
In 2000, I bought the 11th Edition for $59.99. It covers everything that's in the earlier editions plus newer stuff.
In 2004 the 15th Edition became available. It costs $ $59.99 retail. You can order it from Que Publishing for $53.99.

"Book Description
Upgrading and Repairing PCs is the runaway best-selling PC hardware book of all time and one of the best-selling computer books ever! This 15th Edition is loaded with the most up-to-date hardware information anywhere. World-renowned PC hardware expert Scott Mueller has taught thousands in his weeklong seminars and millions through his books, videos and articles. This edition contains hundreds of pages of new material, including the latest in processor and motherboard technologies. The DVD offers you more than two hours of high quality video plus a searchable hard drive database, a searchable vendor database, and thousands of pages of legacy PC hardware coverage that can no longer be included in the printed book, but that are invaluable to PC techs servicing older computers!"

Here's a description I copied from the Internet:

My Web Page Editor:
I wanted to make Web Pages but my experience was all hardware related. All I knew about the  WWW  was searching, reading, Emailing and downloading.

To make Web pages you must use an HTML language. I looked at several HTML libraries and toyed with HTML for a while. I decided that learning HTML at my age isn't practical so I began looking for the right editing program. Low cost with functionality were paramount.

I downloaded several shareware 'site builders' and found that none of them would suffice.
Then I found Web Studio by Back To The Beach, downloaded a trial and with a minimum of reading the instructions, I began making and uploading Web Pages. After I constructed my first site I gladly sent them their money.

Now I've built sites about my family, our pets, my wife's hobbies, our house, family pictures
and now I'm working on this unending computer site for what's in your PC. Construction is so simple with Web Studio that I can whip up a quick site in no time and without learning anything except following simple directions.

I make simple sites so you shouldn't judge Web Studio's capabilities by my work. The program offers much more than I use.
